Rev. William McDow, Pastor

 

Pastor William McDow is a gifted pastor, who enjoys preaching, teaching, encouraging and blessing the body of Christ.  He has served as a pastor in the AME Zion Church for 21+ years.  In addition to pastoring, Rev. McDow serves as the Cape Fear Annual Conference director of the Sons of Varick Ministry, which provides enrichment to the men of Zion and brothers in the community in the areas of Health, Cancer Prevention, Financial Management, Youth Mentoring and Discipleship. He has also served as District Statistician on two Districts in the Cape Fear Conference, including the Wilson District. He and his wife, Rev. Lisa McDow, serve as Wilson District and Cape Fear Conference Co-Directors of Christian Family Life. They have two daughters: Elise who is in college, and Christine who is a college bound high school senior. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, served in the US Army attaining the rank of Captain, and also works in City Planning in addition to pastoring.
